Drywall Framing and Finishing Program

In the drywall framing and finishing program, students will learn everything there is to know about paper, gypsum, metal, screws, and plastic strips. Then, they will start to lay the groundwork for framing and finishing the drywall. To re-wall a room, students will learn how to rip out any old drywall, plaster, or lath. Students will build on their knowledge by analyzing drawing scales and proportions while applying previously studied concepts like shop algebra. The students will also teach the use of drywall panels, construction adhesives, mesh and paper, drywall tape, joint compound, drywall screws, and many other tools. Along with this, students also need to solve compound problems and solve finished common issues. This course's expertise will give you an overview of the taping and finishing process.
