Description
Kyptec Automation® provides a 12 MM 10 MP Machine Vision Lens engineered for 2/3-inch industrial camera sensors requiring a relatively wide field of view combined with high optical resolution. The lens uses a standard C-mount interface and incorporates an adjustable F2.8–16 aperture.
The 12 MM focal length provides greater angular coverage than 16 MM, 25 MM, 35 MM or 50 MM lenses when used with the same camera sensor. This makes focal length an important engineering variable when the required object width, available working distance and camera position are already defined by the mechanical design of the vision system.
At 10 MP resolution, correct optical matching becomes increasingly important. Pixel count describes the camera sensor, but effective system resolution depends on how accurately the lens transfers fine object detail and contrast onto those pixels. A suitably resolved optical image allows more of the sensor's available spatial sampling capability to be used.
The 2/3-inch sensor format establishes the intended image-circle requirement, while the F2.8–16 aperture lets engineers trade light throughput against depth of field. Together, the 12 MM focal length and 10 MP optical design provide a technically focused solution for compact, high-resolution machine vision configurations.
